Basic Rock Climbing

This course of instruction will cover all the basic skills necessary to go out and climb with a partner of similar abilities in a top rope climbing situation. We place great emphasis on the technical aspects of belaying, rappelling, and anchor systems, as well as the basics of ropework, climbing movements, equipment usage and risk evaluation. The course is taught over 3 days of 4 hours each day. We feel that this kind of schedule enhances your level of retention by avoiding the information saturation so common with full day courses.

Prerequesits: Introduction or other exposure to the sport.
